"Preserve CPG's Heritage:
Save the Museum" Dance for a Cause Bears Fruits
A website for the Carlos P. Garcia Foundation, Inc. will have its soft launching on September 24, 2009 at the El Jardin del Presidente at Timog, Quezon City featuring the Carlos P. Garcia as the President and Bohol's Illustrious Son, among others. Formal launching will be on October 1, 2009 at Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The website will similarly showcase the "Preserve CPG's Heritage: Save the Museum" project which was started last December 6, 2006 during the cocktails for a cause sponsored by the Bohol Association of Metro Manila, Inc. (BAMMI). During its pledging session at the Manila Yacht Club, BAMMI and its officers and members, through a board resolution, decided to rescue and restore the President Carlos P. Garcia ancestral home.
The Bammi group who spearheaded the project then was composed of: by Mrs. Purita Soliven - Chairperson, Director Bernie Calibo – President and Chairman, Ardy Batoy - Co-Chair for Special Projects Executive Committee, Joseph Rañola - Head BAMMI Core Group; Mrs. Tita Lapez - former Chairperson and President; and Jun Jayoma - Chairman, Preserve CPG's Heritage: Save the Museum Committee.
